Meet the Team
Anna Jakubek - Owner
Tom Eickelberg - Owner
Anna, a Hudson Valley native, started riding horses at the age of 5. Her mother sensed from a very early age that her love for horses and her connection with them was innate; by the time Anna was 10 years old, she was volunteering and riding at a local therapeutic horse back riding center, learning as much as she could about the healing power of horses. While she was never truly drawn to the competition riding scene, her passion for horsemanship remained steadfast, and after college, she continued to ride while holding on to her lifelong dream of living the farm life.
In the summer of 2020, Anna's dream became a reality when her husband, Tom, helped her bring it to life. Together, they broke ground on the original Lost and Found Farm in the backyard of their first home right here in New Paltz. Learning as they went, Lost and Found Farm was built from the ground up with help and support from family, friends, and neighbors. By the winter of 2025, an opportunity to expand presented itself. Embracing the chance to grow, Anna and Tom took the heart of Lost and Found Farm with them to a new home in February 2025. With them came their small but mighty herd: their cat Lana, and two rescue horses, Jhett and Gio.
Today, Anna oversees all aspects of the horse operations, and Tom is the farm's head mechanic, project manager, lead contractor, electrician and all around problem solver. Together, they've built a farm powered by heart, grit, teamwork, and the lessons learned from everything that was, quite fittingly, "lost and found" along the way.
